Coldplay: Something Just Like This

Role: Sign Language Performance Adaptation
Crafted the visual interpretation and sign language performance adaptation of Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This”, performed live by Chris Martin during Coldplay’s Singapore concert in 2024.

Songs We Grew Up With
2023

Role: Artist-Performer
Collaborated with RINES to present a curated selection of songs reflecting the memories, identities, and cultural experiences of growing up in Singapore. While Erina performed the songs through vocals and piano, I presented them through Deaf music, and Singapore Sign Language (SgSL), creating a shared performance that brought together visual and musical storytelling.

SMU Arts Festival: Lost and Found @re.site
2022

Role: Artist-Performer
Created and performed a Deaf Poetry interpretation of an extract from Remembered Places in collaboration with the SMU Choir and Musical Theatre cast, directed by Jennifer Tham, bringing the poem into a visual and embodied performance in Singapore Sign Language (SgSL).

If You Were In My Shoes
2015

Role: Co-Creator & Artist-Performer
An original collaborative work by Lily Goh and Audris, If You Were In My Shoes explores Deaf identity, communication barriers, rejection, and the search for belonging in a predominantly hearing world. Moving from isolation and self-doubt towards courage and resilience, the song invites audiences to consider life from a Deaf person’s perspective.

The music video was recognised as a semi-finalist in the Music Video Category of the UK Songwriting Contest 2025.

Let This Girl “Sign” On
2014

Role: Lyricist & Artist-Performer
A collaborative work by Lily Goh, Irene Jansen and Sarah, reimagining Let It Go through a Deaf perspective. Adapted the lyrics to tell the story of a Deaf woman who has learn to speak but longs for the freedom to communicate through sign language. Moving from suppression and isolation towards self-expression and acceptance, the performance celebrates sign language as an expression of identity and the freedom to be oneself.

Lau Goh’s Signature Dish – Chai Tao Kway
2019

Role: Producer, Director & Artist-Performer
A Deaf-led theatrical performance work combining humour, sign language, Deaf poetry and guitar & percussion music. The signature dish, Chai Tao Kway (translated to “fried carrot cake”) by Lau Goh, a deaf hawker, was adapted in Deaf poetry.

Crying In The Rain

Presented as part of Deaf Unique Moves II, organised by the Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf), in collaboration with RAW Moves. The work brings together Deaf poetry, embodiment, and contemporary dance.

Clin d’Oeil Festival
2026

Presented at the Clin d’Oeil Festival 2026 in Reims, France, Deaf Music: Embodied Storytelling – A Visual Exploration explores Deaf music as a visual and embodied form of artistic storytelling. Drawing on Singapore Sign Language (SgSL), Visual Vernacular (VV), Deaf poetry, and other forms of visual storytelling, the presentation examines how musical dynamics, rhythm, emotion, and intent can be expressed beyond sound, contributing to wider conversations on Deaf arts, sign language arts, and contemporary performance.

World Association of Sign Language Interpreters (WASLI) Asia Conference
2025

Presented at the WASLI Asia Conference 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Interpreting Music and Sounds for the Deaf: An Artistic Exploration examines the collaboration between Deaf music artist-performers and hearing sign language relay interpreters in interpreting music visually. Drawing on autoethnographic reflection and audience feedback, the research explores how interpreters’ musical knowledge may influence the artistic process and Deaf audiences’ experiences, highlighting the importance of Deaf artistry, specialised interpreting skills, and collaboration in music performance.

Singapore Drama Educators Association (SDEA) Theatre Arts Conference
2025

Presented at the SDEA Theatre Arts Conference 2025 in Singapore, Deaf Music: Crafting Storytelling and Deaf Poetry for Inclusive Theatre explores how Deaf music, Deaf poetry, and Visual Vernacular (VV) can expand approaches to storytelling in theatre. Drawing on selected performances and creative practice, the presentation examines how embodied storytelling can enhance accessibility and representation for Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences while contributing to more inclusive approaches to contemporary theatre/performance.
